Army triumph

LAHORE, Nov 1: Army won the National Inter-Department baseball championship defeating Wapda in the last league match 16-5 at the Iqbal Parks Sports Complex Friday.

Police was the third team of the three-day event.

For Army, Farooq Ahmad was the top scorer with five runs while Aashiq  Hussain, Muhammad Arif, Riaz Khan and Tariq Pasha  scored two  runs each. Sarfraz Ahmad, Zafar Iqbal and Imtiaz Ahmad  also chipped in one run apiece. For  Wapda,  Rana Ajmal (2) and Abou Bakar, Abid  and  Iftikhar scored one run each.
