QUETTA, Oct 30: Member of Election Commission, Justice Ahmed Khan Lashari of Balochistan High Court, on Wednesday declared Sardar Masood Ali Khan Luni of Pakistan Muslim League (Quaid-i-Azam) as provincial assembly member-elect from PB-14, Loralai-I.

He announced the decision after completing inquiry regarding rigging and violence at some polling stations of NA-263, Loralai, and PB-14, Loralai-I.

However, he ordered re-polling at two polling stations of NA-263, Primary School Killi Akbar and Primary School Killi Akhtar Mohammad, on Nov 2.

The Election Commission had withheld the result of NA-263 and PB-14 after receiving complaints of violence.

The main candidates for NA-263 are, Maulana Amir Zaman of Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal, Mir Baz Mohammad Khan Khetran of People’s Party Parliamentarians and Sardar Yaqoob Khan Nasar of PML (Nawaz).

Yaqoob Nasar, who was supported by Pakhtoonkhwa Milli Awami Party, had earlier claimed that he had won the seat with a margin of 2,222 votes.
