Three die in separate accidents

RAWALPINDI, Oct 28: Three persons, including a woman, were killed in separate road accidents in the city on Monday.

According to the police, a woman, identified as Farzana Bibi, was hit by a car while she was crossing the road in Westridge.

In another incident, an unidentified man was run over by a rickshaw (RPT-4253) near Rialto Chowk. The driver was taken into custody by the police.

Another person, Mohammad Ramzan died after being hit by a bus of a private company near Military hospital (MH) on Monday.

ROBBERY: Two robbers broke into a house in F-Block Satellite Town on Monday and escaped with jewellery, cash and electronic items, police said.

Mohammad Mansoor told New Town police that someone rang the door-bell of his house. When he opened the door, he found two unidentified persons standing at the door. He said the two men forcibly entered the house and held his children at gunpoint. They threatened him of dire consequences if cash and gold ornaments were not handed over to them.

The robbers then escaped with gold ornaments, cash and a video cassette recorder.
