SANGHAR, Oct 27: The provincial election commissioner of Balochistan, Chaudhry Qamar Zaman, reached Khipro and started an enquiry into the alleged rigging in elections at NA-235 (Khipro and Jam Nawaz Ali Talukas) constituency on the complaint of a defeated candidate, Mohammad Asad Ali Khan Junejo.

Mr Junejo had alleged that his rival and the winning candidate, Abdul Qudoos Rajar, had used dubious means to win the elections including force to keep his voters out of the polling stations as a result of which one of his (i.e. Junejo’s) supporters had been killed at the Dhalyar polling station.

The provincial election commissioner visited various polling stations including the Dhalyar polling station and recorded the statements of eyewitnesses from both sides.
