PML(Q) wants consensus govt: Wasti
ISLAMABAD, Oct 23: The central vice-president of the PML(Q), Syed Kabir Ali Wasti, on Wednesday said his party was making efforts to form a government of national consensus.
Briefing the Arab Diplomatic Corps on ‘Election 2002 and Policy of the Pakistan Muslim League’ at the monthly Arab Group Meeting, Wasti said: “A government of national consensus is a must to ensure continuity of the present policies, particularly the anti-terrorism stance.”
Ahmad Razzaq El-Salman, dean of the corps, and ambassador of the state of Palestine welcomed the PML leader. Heads of missions of Arab countries were also present on the occasion.
Mr Wasti said that it was due to achieve objective of the consensus government that the PML-Q did not nominate any contender for the prime minister’s slot.
He termed the entire electoral process fair, free and transparent as observed by many foreign observers and international media.—APP
