KARACHI: Shab-i-barat arrangements

KARACHI, Oct 20: A complete ban has been imposed on sale and use of fireworks goods in Saddar Town and police have been directed to take strict action against violators.

The step has been taken by the Town administration to maintain the sanctity of Shab-i-Baraat.

The administration completed arrangements for cleanliness around graveyards and mosques, lighting and provision of water on the occasion of Shab-i-Baraat, which falls on the night between Monday and Tuesday.

The measures were taken at a meeting which was called by the Town Nazim.

Bushes, garbage and encroachments in the limits of graveyards have been removed and steps have been taken for smooth traffic flow.
