ISLAMABAD, Oct 19: Pakistan International Airlines has agreed to cap the fare for the Haj pilgrims at the previous year’s level and it will provide Ahram and Abaya to them free of cost.
The stay period for pilgrims, however, could not be reduced to the proposed 35 days from 40 days due to limited number of aeroplanes, the PIA chairman told a meeting at the religious affairs ministry.
The meeting, presided over by Religious Affairs Secretary Jamil Bhutto, was told that flights schedule for the pilgrims will be provided to the ministry by Oct 30.
It was told that the PIA would provide 10 litres Aab-i-Zam Zam to the pilgrims returning by its flights at the port of disembarkation and they would not be allowed to carry it with their baggage.—Staff Reporter
