QUETTA, Oct 18: Jamhoori Watan Party President Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti on Friday made clear to the Pakistan Muslim League (Quaid-i-Azam) leadership that his party will abide by the decision of the Alliance for Restoration of Democracy regarding formation of governments in Quetta and Islamabad.
“The JWP is a part of the ARD and we remained partners in all the decisions taken in it,” Nawab Bugti told Jam Mohammad Yousaf, the PML-Q, Balochistan, parliamentary leader, who called on him.
The JWP chief told newsmen here that Jam Yousaf visited Dera Bugti and discussed formation coalition government in Balochistan.
He said the PML-Q leader requested JWP’s support for a government led by his party. “We will act according to the ARD decisions regarding formation of governments,” Bugti said. He said that being a part of the ARD, his party was not free to take independent decisions. He said Balochistan National Party (Awami) was taking its own decisions because it had quit the alliance.
Nawab Bugti said the JWP would not support parties that followed the line given by the military rulers. “Our party’s central executive committee will decide which party or group it would help in forming the federal and provincial governments,” he said while replying to a question.
