KARACHI, Oct 16: A suspected bandit was shot dead by a security guard in Joharabad police limits on Wednesday.

Police said two bandits on a motorcycle intercepted a Suzuki pick-up of a private distribution company and attempted to loot it near Al-Mohsin Imambargah in Block-16, Federal B Area. His accomplice escaped.

During the process, the condition of his wife deteriorated and she could not survive. The child died as well. Ayaz became dejected and hanged himself after her burial.

DIES: A man drowned in the underground water tank of his house in Saeedabad.

Police said Jalilur Rehman turned mentally sick after his first wife died and second parted ways with him. When his four sons awoke in the morning, they found their father drowned in the underground tank.
