A young shopkeeper was shot dead at his shop in Malir.
Police said bandits shot dead Imtiaz Ahmed, aged 27, when he put up resistance to them in Indus Mehran Society in Khokhrapar police limits. Three armed men attempted to loot Imtiaz at his shop on Bankwali Gali near Saudabad chowk. Imtiaz, who is also a building contractor, put up resistance to the bandits who fired on him and escaped. Imtiaz was rushed to a hospital where he died.

Witnesses said a police mobile was stationed round the clock hardly 50 yards from the place of incident. But policemen present in the mobile did not take notice of the incident.
