PESHAWAR, Oct 14: The Pakistan Muslim League (N) extended unconditional support to Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal in the NWFP here on Monday.

The provincial president of PML(N), Pir Sabir Shah, said that for the restoration of democracy and safeguarding of the Islamic identity in the country it is necessary that the PML(N) support MMA in the province.

According to a press release issued here on Monday, Shah stated that PML(N) was a national-level party and under the leadership of Mian Nawaz Sharif it had always given priority to national interests.

He expressed the hope that the MMA leadership would fulfil its promises made to the people.

The PML(N) has won five provincial assembly seats in the NWFP and the MMA 48.
