Three escape from lock-up

NANKANA SAHIB, Sept 28: Three under-trial accused fled from the judicial lock-up by carving out a hole in its wall on Saturday.

Those who fled away are Iqbal Shah and Asghar Shah, the murder accused, while the identity of the third one has not yet been established.

The accused were brought from the Sheikhupura district jail to appear in the court of additional district and sessions judge who could not attend the court due to his election engagements. The police officials who brought the accused got date from the court official. When they counted the accused in the lock-up they found three of them missing.—APP
