Imran terms governor’s visit pre-poll rigging

By Our Correspondent

MIANWALI, Sept 28: The government will not be able to achieve its objectives despite supporting turncoats and plunderers of the national exchequer.

This was stated by Tehrik-i-Insaf chairman Imran Khan while speaking to people at the Municipal Committee Chowk here on Saturday.

He termed the inauguration of the gas supply project by the Punjab governor on Friday in Mianwali a pre-poll rigging. He said that he would lodge a complaint with the election commission. The western media would also be apprised of the violation of the electoral rules, he said.

Mr Khan has announced his support to PML-N candidate Inamullah Khan Niazi who is contesting the election for NA-72 against Dr Sher Afghan Khan of the PPP.

Earlier, Inamullah Niazi strongly condemned the governor for visiting Mianwali and announcing inauguration of some development schemes near the election days.
