KGS swimmers capture trophy

KARACHI, Sept 15: Karachi Grammar School (KGS) emerged as the winners at the 11th Sindh Women’s Open swimming championships which concluded Sunday at the KGS swimming pool.

Karachi Club (KC) finished as runners-up, while International School Karachi (ISK) settled for third place.

Like the opening day, Mahira Karim of KGS and Khulood Bawa of KC created new records, while Natasha Riaz of Bahria College also established two records in the group events.

Mahira carved a a new record in the Group V Open 200m freestyle, clocking 2.35.86. Khulood improved her own record in Group II 100m freestyle with a new time of 1.20.47.

Natasha made new record in the Group V 100m breaststroke with a time of 1.27.59. She also broke her own record in the Group V 100m freestyle finishing with a time of 1.10.96. Her previous record was 1.11.70.
