PESHAWAR, Sept 15: The government has adopted an economic-friendly policy to support the private sector which is important to face the challenges of this century.

This was stated by the General Manager, Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited, Peshawar, Yousaf Khan Afridi while inaugurating the Cyber Internet service in a local hotel here on Sunday.

He said that a strong bond between the private sector and the government was needed to pave the way for the development of the country, and that the government was undoubtedly committed to information technology development.

He added that the launching of Cyber Internet services would prove to be a hallmark in the development of information technology in the NWFP.

Earlier, Abbas Ali Iqbal, manager sales and marketing of Cyber Net, said that Peshawar was the fifth city in the country to have quality Internet service. He added that soon the service would be extended to other cities as well. He said the subscribers could be sure of an error-free message delivery in its original form through the service.
