KARACHI, Sept 9: The Defence of Pakistan Day was celebrated at the Government College, Gulshan-i-Iqbal, in which Qirat, national songs competitions and debates in Urdu and English were held.
Khalida Saadat, sister of Maj Shabbir Shaheed, was the chief guest at the concluding session.
Rich tributes were paid to those who laid their lives for defence of the country and those who fought for the nation. Prof Syed Mohammad Waseem also spoke.
