Oil, gas deal
ALGIERS, Sept 7: Algeria will export 30,000 barrels per day of its crude oil to fellow Opec-member Indonesia, whose own production is declining, the APS Algerian news agency said on Saturday.
The two producers signed an oil and gas cooperation accord on Saturday, the third day of a four-day official visit by President Megawati Sukarnoputri to the North African country, APS said.
Under the agreement Algerian state owned oil and gas Sonatrach and its Indonesian counterpart Petermina will work together to explore, exploit and develop oil and gas projects.
The two companies will also cooperate on oil and gas services as well as worker training and scientific research.—Reuters
