LAHORE, Sept 2: Five new records were established in the Punjab Age Group swimming championship held at the Agricultural University, Faisalabad pool, according to a message received Monday.
Four records were broken by swimmers belonging to Lahore which included two by Sikandar Khan and one each by Abdul Aziz and Syed Mustafa Shah. The fifth record was improved by Yahya Shahid of Faisalabad.
The competitions were held in Under-10, Under-12, Under-15 and Under-18 Age Groups.
Lahore won the Under-10, Under-15 and Under-18 Age Group championships while it got the runners-up position in the Under- 12 contest. Faisalabad won the Under-12 championship and got the runners-up position in Under-10, Under-15 and Under-18.
In all, Lahore bagged 158 points from all the four championships to win the overall trophy. Faisalabad got 106 points to earn the second position. Jhang and Bahawalpur with 45 and 21 points, respectively, claimed the third and fourth position.

200m breaststroke (Under-15): Sikandar Khan (Lahore), two minutes 55.59 seconds, Faizan Rabbi Khan (Lahore), Zeeshan Ahmad (Faisalabad).
200m breaststroke (U-18): Abdul Aziz (Lahore), 3:02.88 sec (new record), Tanvir Ahmad Malik (Jhang), Zeeshan Razi (Lahore).
200m backstroke (Under-15): Syed Mustafa Shah (Lahore) 2:46.22 sec (New Record), Sikandar Khan (Lahore), Mubashir Ahmed (Jhang).
