Indian agents responsible for rise in killings: FO

By Our Staff Reporter

ISLAMABAD, Sept 2: Pakistan on Monday expressed deep concern over the recent rise in the killings of innocent civilians in the Indian-Occupied Kashmir.

A statement issued by a foreign office spokesman said the Indian authorities invariably make false claim that Kashmir freedom fighters were responsible for these deaths.

It noted that the actual killers in these incidents of violence rarely get caught.

“The assassins of the respected Kashmiri leader, Abdul Ghani Lone, who are widely believed to have been Indian agents, are still at large,” he added.

“The government of Pakistan is convinced that Indian security agencies and the renegade elements in their pay are behind these killings, the main target of which are Kashmiri Muslims.

“The fact has been acknowledged by Amnesty International. The objective of the Indian authorities in carrying out these killings and blaming them on the Kashmiri freedom fighters is to portray the struggle as terrorism internationally and to alienate the Kashmiris from the freedom movement.”
