Govt pressurizing candidates: PPP

ISLAMABAD, Sept 1: The Pakistan People’s Party has demanded of the chief election commissioner to take notice of the “government’s coercing tactics to pressure the PPP candidates to withdraw from elections.”

In a statement, the party spokesman, Farhatullah Babar, said that all the claims of the government of holding fair and impartial elections were false.

The spokesman said that it was shameful that the National Accountability Bureau was continuously being used as a tool to rig the elections by threatening the PPP candidates of arrest on trumped up charges. —Our Reporter
