KARACHI, Aug 30: The Karachi Building Control Authority (KBCA) is presently evolving a procedure to ensure promotion of its employees on basis of their performance.
Brig S.A. Nasir, Chief Controller KBCA, in a meeting with the KBCA Employees Union here on Friday, said that while there exists no chance for corrupt and incompetent workers in the institution, no single individual would be targeted, and adequate procedure to evaluate workers’ performance will be adopted.
He also assured the trade union that their demands, which included leave encashment and termination of probationary period, would be sympathetically considered.
“KBCA has to be turned into an exemplary institution, for which support of all workers is needed on (an) urgent basis,” he said, adding that all genuine demands and concessions would be extended to the workers.
Brig Nasir also hoped that with the support of workers, the KBCA may also be turned into an institution recognized for its quality service.
The trade union representatives, expressing their gratitude, assured that all felonious and unauthorized activities would be discouraged on their part as well.
