Faisal slams century

KARACHI, Aug 25: Pakistan discard Faisal Iqbal hit 122 to help Karachi Regional Academy (KRA) reach 313 all out on the first day of the two-day trial match against Muridke Regional Academy at National Stadium here Sunday.

Faisal, the 20-year-old nephew of great Javed Miandad, stroked 14 fours and one six during his 141-ball knock which spanned 228 minutes.

Mohammad Farooq also nudged the national selectors with an unbeaten 63 off 112 balls in a stay of three hours and 26 minutes.

Medium-pacer Aizaz Cheema claimed five for 67 in 16.5 overs.
