KARACHI, Aug 18: The president of the Sindh Democratic Alliance (SDA), Imtiaz Shaikh, said here on Sunday in the forthcoming elections his party would fill the political gap in Sindh.

He was speaking at a meeting of party workers and office-bearers here at the SDA central secretariat. He said the door had been closed on previous rulers due to their misdeeds.

Mr Shaikh alleged the PPP and PML (N) had failed to solve the problems of the people. He said the SDA had identified the problems of the common man such as health, education, law and order, price hike and water shortage. These problems would be solved at the micro level, he added.

The SDA chief said provincial autonomy, impartial judiciary and women’s right were integral parts of the party’s manifesto.

He said the SDA believed that the interest of Sindh was vitally linked with the security of Pakistan.

He appointed a businessmen from the UK, Ali Hamid Khan, the party’s chief coordinator in Europe. — APP
