Sargodha beat Lahore

LAHORE, Aug 15: Four matches were decided in the 13th National divisional basketball championship Grade A at the Qayyum Stadium, Peshawar Thursday.

Sargodha defeated Lahore 66-45 after leading the first half 38-30. Asad 20, Mazhar 12 and Zaheer 12 were the chief scorers for the winning side.

Multan defeated Hyderabad 77-64. Multan led the first half play 32-25. Kamran displayed an outstanding performance contributing 47 points.

Rawalpindi beat Peshawar by a narrow margin 83-77. Rawalpindi developed a slim four margin lead 41-37 at the interval. Azhar 28 and Bahar 18 were the principal scorers for the winning team. Mohsin 18, Raj Mir 15 and Aslam 10 put up some resistance from the losing side.

Faisalabad claimed victory over Hazara 60-54 after taking 26-21 lead at the interval. Nadeem 17 and Kashif 13 were the top scorers for the winners while Farooq 14 and Aqeel 21 fought well for the losers.
