Celebrations disrupted

CHITRAL, Aug 15: Chitral district received torrential rains on Independence Day which disrupted all functions organized to celebrate the day.

According to reports reaching here from different parts of the district farmlands were devastated by the floodwater.

A suspension bridge at Chumurkone was also washed away severing the vehicular traffic on the busy Peshawar road.
