ISLAMABAD, Aug 13: The Muslims and Christians will have to stand vigil against the conspiracies being hatched by the forces working against the country’s interests.
This was stated by convener of World Minorities Alliance and ex-MNA, J Salik, during the solidarity march organized by the alliance here on Tuesday.
About 500 people, mainly local Christians, participated in the march which started from J Salik’s residence in sector F and culminated at China Chowk.
Mr Salik said the reason behind the ongoing wave of terrorism, targeting Christian community should be addressed objectively.
He added Christians with their Muslims brothers remained united, be it wars or the ongoing war against terrorism.
The processionists holding white flowers, symbol of peace, raised slogans of Pakistan Zindabad, Quaid-i-Azam Zindabad.
The participants were holding placards which read: “No religion permits terrorism”, “we will not allow anyone to wreck Christian-Muslim unity”, “religion teaches peace and love not killing”.
In the end, J Salik asked the participants to pray as per their belief for the welfare and unity among the people of the country.
