KARACHI: 3 persons die in accidents

KARACHI, Aug 12: Three persons fell victim to reckless driving in the city on Monday.

A four-year old girl, Amna, was run over by a truck (JT-3948) when it was taking a reverse gear in Zia Colony, Mominabad. The girl was rushed to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where doctors pronounced her dead on arrival.

The truck driver escaped after the accident, police said.

A young man died when he fell from a moving minibus in Korangi. Police said that Nazir, aged 24, fell from a moving minibus (JE-8112) of route F-21. He died on the spot.

His body was sent to Jinnah Post-graduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for post- mortem.

The bus driver escaped after the accident.

Younus Magsi, aged 25, was knocked down by a speeding vehicle at Defence Mor. He was rushed to the JPMC where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
