Man shot dead by son

By Our Correspondent

HARIPUR, Aug 8: A man was shot shot dead by his son, in Soha on Wednesday evening, family sources said.

Abdul Rahim Khan slapped his minor grandson in the face over a mistake, due to which the boy fainted. This infuriated boy’s uncle, Nadeem, alias Gudoo, who in a fit of anger, opened fire on his father with a Kalashnikov. Rahim Khan died before receiving any medical aid.

Rahim Khan, a known figure of the Tanawal area, had some three decades ago allegedly killed a former education minister, Farid Khan of Beer, to avenge the murder of his father who was allegedly killed by Farid Khan.

Rahim Khan was also charged with the murder of a lawyer, Sajjad Khan and his two sons in mid 80s.

Sajjad was the nephew of the slain former provincial minister.

The family of Abdul Rahim Khan has been engaged in a bloody enmity and has lost several lives in the feud.

The accused escaped from the area after committing the murder.
