KARACHI: Woman sent to jail for camel-kids smuggling

KARACHI, Aug 6: Judicial Magistrate Abdul Quddoos Memon sent on Tuesday Allah Rakhi, wife of Pala, to jail on a charge of smuggling two children to Dubai for camel-race.

The FIA Airport arrested Allah Rakhi while she returned to Karachi from Dubai. She had taken Riaz and Mumtaz to Dubai on her passport and showed them as her own sons.

The FIA sent her to the FIA Passport Cell for further investigation. A team of the Lawyers for Human Rights and Legal Aid was there to document this case.

His parents agreed to send him, with Phujjo, to Dubai. She took him to Shaikhupura and from there she took an 11-year-old boy, Mumtaz. She took the weight of both the boys and left for Dubai with them.

After a few days, a Sheikh took Riaz and Mumtaz for camel-race training. When they were trained, they were sent to camel-races.

Riaz said he won 40 races and once he also fell from a camel and was seriously injured, his nasal bone and teeth were broken.
