This was announced by the Board of Intermediate Education Karachi on Tuesday.

It said the Board had taken necessary step for the implementation of the government policy regarding 75 per cent compulsory attendance of regular students of XI and XII classes.

A statement of the Board said principals of all recognized colleges and higher secondary schools had been provided a copy of the Sindh cabinet’s decision, dated March 23, 2002, regarding the matter along with the modified proforma for students’ monthly attendance record.

It was stated that the attendance of the candidates will be counted from the beginning of the academic session up to the 14th day preceding the commencement of examination or the close of the session whichever may be earlier.—APP
