KARACHI: Development projects demanded for Surjani
KARACHI, Aug 5: The Surjani Councillor Ittehad has demanded the launching of development projects in Union Council Maymarabad No-6, Surjani Town and Gadap Town with the consultation of area councillors.
Addressing a press conference here on Monday, General Councillor Javed Iqbal Khan alleged that whatever development work is carried out in the union council, the Nazim and Naib Nazim did not take him into confidence.
He further alleged that the contracts for carrying out development projects were being awarded to their favourites.
Councillor Rao Zaheeruddin said that the people of his area have been facing an acute shortage of tap water.
He further alleged that most of the streets of these areas are flooded with sewage water.—APP
