NAPP proposes new name for NWFP

PESHAWAR, July 21: A National Awami Party Pakistan leader on Sunday demanded that the NWFP should be named Afghania.

Talking to PPI, NAPP leader Zar Ali Khan said renaming of the province would strengthen relations between Afghanistan and Pakistan. He said better relations between the countries might ensure peace in the region. He said the champions of the Pakhtoon nation had mishandled the issue of the renaming of the province. He expressed his concern over the namelessness of the province.

He asked the military government to incorporate the renaming of the province in the constitutional package.—PPI
