FAISALABAD, July 19: Exports through Faisalabad Dry Port has recorded unprecedented increase during the last financial year.

This was claimed by the chairman, Faisalabad Dry Port Trust, Mushtaq Ali Cheema while talking to newsmen here on Wednesday.

He said that during this period FDPT handled 24,930 export cargo containers while 3,952 import cargo containers arrived at this dry port.

In last 8 years, the FDPT handled 150,241 export cargo containers, worth Rs40,000 million while 18,475 import cargo containers arrived at this dry port which is a record turnover, he added.

He said that FDPT has emerged as the biggest dry port of the country (business and volume wise) where one-window facility is available to the exporters and importers.
