KARACHI, July 15: Registration of the general certificate of education (GCE) O&A levels private candidates for the Cambridge October/November examinations have started from July 8.

Candidates can download the GCE registration forms from the British Council examination service web page: www.britishcouncil. org.pk/education/pakprdoc.htm.

The deadline for registration of regular entries is August 6. A late fee will be charged after this date. The deadline for retake GCE entries (applicable to GCE candidates entering for a syllabus in November that was previously set in May/June) is September 4.

A late fee per subject in addition to the regular subject fee will be charged for any regular entry registered between August 7 and September 2. A fee will be charged for any entry amendment made after submitting the registration form to the British Council.

The GCE entries later than September 2 will not be received, a press release said on Monday.

The GCE examination fee has to be submitted by the private candidates at the respective British Council bank, which are printed at the end of each registration form.

The completed registration form along with the stamped bank deposit slip, four attested passport-size photographs, a copy of NIC or passport or any other recent photographic evidence must be sent to the respective British Council office.

Candidates must retain photocopies of their GCE registration form and the bank deposit slip along with the original courier dispatch slip for their record.
