HYDERABAD, July 14: At least 600 policemen and Frontier Constabulary personnel will be deployed by the district administration in and outside the central jail as Anti-Terrorism Court Judge Syed Ali Ashraf Shah is set to pronounce the verdict in the Daniel Pearl kidnapping and murder case on Monday.

The Hyderabad district police called 100 elite commandos, who had recently passed out from the Razaqabad Police Training School, Karachi, as a part of security measures, said District Police Officer (DPO) Moazam Jah Ansari.

Three FC platoons, comprising 42 people each, will be present in the jail. Rangers officials will escort Sindh Advocate General Raja Qureshi.

Sources said that there were apprehension of untoward incident on Monday, when the court is likely to announce its verdict in Hyderabad.

They said the police raided locations in Jacob Lines, Juttlands, Gulshan-i-Iqbal, Shah Faisal Colony, Korangi and other areas and nabbed the activists of different organizations.
