LAHORE, July 12: The Alliance for Restoration of Democracy has cancelled its public meetings to be held at Faisalabad and Sargodha on July 14 and 16, respectively.

The decision has been taken as the Punjab government creates hurdles whenever the alliance plans to hold a meeting anywhere.

ARD President Nawabzada Nasrullah Khan has called an emergency meeting of the coalition at Lahore for July 14 to discuss the political situation and decide the future course of action.

The Supreme Court’s verdict on the educational qualifications for the election candidates and the package of constitutional amendments given by the National Bureau of Reconstruction will be among important subjects on the agenda.
