Economists’ civil service group likely
ISLAMABAD, July 12: President Gen Pervez Musharraf will preside over a meeting here on Saturday to approve the new “Economic Management Group” for inducting only professionals in the economic ministries.
Secretary establishment, Tariq Saeed Haroon, will make the presentation in the presence of the president and ministers for finance, commerce, deputy chairman planning commission, and secretary-general.
Official sources said that the purpose of creating the new Economic Management Group was to have specialists in the economic ministries by discouraging groups such as District Management Group (DMG).— Staff Reporter
