MUNICH, Germany, July 7: Germany’s captain Oliver Kahn, the first goalkeeper to win FIFA’s Golden Ball award, is likely to be out of action for six weeks with a finger injury, his doctor said.
Kahn would be ready to play again at the start of the Bundesliga season on August 10 and 11, German sports news agency SID quoted doctor Hans-Wilhelm Mueller-Wohlfahrt as saying on Saturday.
“The issue is a torn ligament on the little finger involving a joint,” he said.—Reuters
