Gold drops
LONDON, July 3: Gold dropped to fresh six-week lows on Wednesday as a firmer dollar made the metal less attractive to European investors, already shy of taking new positions ahead of an upcoming US extended holiday.
Gold was fixed in the London afternoon session at $310.85 a troy ounce, its lowest fix since May 17, and down $2 from $312.85 previously.
