KARACHI, July 2: The city government has encompassed more areas for charged parking which started from July 1.

The sites brought under charged parking are the area around Gul Plaza-Marston Road; Road from Water Pump to Sakhi Hasan roundabout including the service road, Mina Bazar Karimabad, Crystal Road, Qasim Court, Ahmed Archade, PCCC House, Saeed Centre Clifton.

Besides, internal road of Karachi Gymkhana, parking area outside Civil Hospital, Sindbad, NIPA-Gulshan-i-Iqbal, Lasania Restaurant, Family Restaurant, all marriage halls located on Rashid Minhas Road have also been brought under charged parking.

The city government announced that Rs 10 will be charged for first three hours of parking for cars and Rs 25 for more than 3 hours or for whole day.

Charged parking fee for motorcycles will be Rs 5 for first three hours and Rs 10 for more than three hours or for whole day.—APP
