Pakistani cueists for Dubai

KARACHI, June 24: Pakistan will be featuring in the ten-nation Emarat International snooker team championship being played at Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE) from Sep 4 to 10, President, Pakistan Billiards Snooker Association (PBSA) Asghar Valika announced Monday.

Mr Valika, who recently returned from a private visit of Dubai where also held meeting with UAE Billiards and Snooker Association Secretary General Khaled Nasser Lootah, told APP that leading countries from Asia and Africa have been extended invitation for the week-long championship.

Other countries invited included People’s Republic of China, China Hong Kong, Egypt, India, Malaysia, Singapore, South Africa and Thailand.

Hosts UAE will be entering three teams in the prestigious event.

South Africa will be making their debut in UAE competition which carry a purse of US$ 5500.

The winners of the tournament will get US$3000.—APP
