DENVER, June 21: Thousands of people fled rampaging wildfires that left firefighters helpless in Colorado and Arizona as a government agency warned Thursday of “extreme” fire danger across the Western United States from Alaska to Texas.
Meanwhile, the Forest Service employee accused of starting the largest blaze in Colorado history pleaded not guilty Thursday to charges of setting fire to timber in a national forest.—dpa
