Transparency in uplift schemes stressed

ISLAMABAD, June 18: Federal Minister for Communications and Railways Javed Ashraf Qazi has stressed on the quick implementation of the directives received from the Chief Executive Secretariat and Cabinet Division.

He was presiding over a meeting, which reviewed the status of the directives’ implementation in detail, here on Monday at Ministry of Communication.

Mr Qazi said the government wanted to create harmony among the uplift projects of the communications sector, and urged that the schemes should be made transparent.

Mr Qazi urged that the projects should be implemented according to rules and regulations and needs of the percentage be kept in mind while planning the schemes. Particular attention, the minister said, needed to be paid towards reducing cost of the projects.
