Rumsfeld urged not to believe biased reports

By Our Staff Correspondent

MUZAFFARABAD, June 13: The Muttahida Jihad Council (MJC), called on US Defence Secretary Donald Rumsfeld on Thursday not to believe what it called the Indian government’s “biased” reports against the freedom movement in the occupied Kashmir.

“The US authorities should avoid saying things without proof,” MJC Chairman Syed Salahuddin said in a statement, adding that things that were said without any proof or evidence provided justification to the oppressor to continue oppression against freedom fighters.

He remarked that Mr Rumsfeld’s statement about the presence of Al Qaeda members in Kashmir was the outcome of misleading and concocted information being spread by New Delhi.
