Six officials held by RAB

QUETTA, June 12: Regional Accountability Bureau on Wednesday arrested six officials of the Balochistan Accountant General office and buildings and roads department on the charges of corruption.

The RAB officials took Accounts Assistant Sikander Alam, Accounts Officer Abdul Sattar, Senior Auditor Ijaz Ahmed and Dera Murad Jamali Treasury Officer Mumtaz Ahmed into custody. B&R department’s Kharan Road Inspector Ghulam Hussain and Micro Typist Khaliq Dad were also arrested.

The officials were produced before the accountability court No.1, headed by Judge Mohammad Anwar Kasi, who remanded them into the custody of RAB till June 26.
