Considering him as a reliable person, Afzal on Sunday ranged up Imtiaz from Saudi Arabia to receive him at the Lahore airport. Without informing the deceased’s family members, he went to the airport to receive his master.

He picked up Afzal from the airport and drove towards Sheikhupura. A few kilometres from the village, he shot dead his master only to grab his briefcase containing Rs0.5 million in cash. As he was fleeing with the briefcase, constable Mushtaq spotted him and went after him. After a brief chase, the constable overpowered the accused and also took into custody the briefcase.
