KARACHI: India urged to hold talks with Pakistan

KARACHI, June 2: Chairman of the National Alliance Ghulam Mustafa Jatoi has asked the Indian authorities to adopt a reasonable attitude and hold talks with Pakistan in order to resolve the Kashmir issue peacefully.

Talking to newsmen here on Sunday he warned India to refrain from threatening Pakistan.

Mr Jatoi said the armed forces and people of Pakistan were fully prepared to give every sacrifice to defend their motherland.

The National Alliance chief said that as a nuclear power, Pakistan was a responsible country but at the same time it had the capability to protect its sovereignty and integrity with honour and dignity.

He called for sanity and resolving all problems between the two countries, particularly the issue of Kashmir, through peaceful means.

Mr Jatoi said Pakistan realized its responsibilities as a nuclear power and had been working for promotion of peace.—PPI
