Two shot dead by rivals

GUJRAT, May 31: Two people, including a bills clerk of the DCO office, were shot dead by their rivals near Kunjahary, Kunjah, on Friday.

Clerk Sharif along with his cousin Zulfiqar was going to his office by a motorcycle. As they reached near Kunjahary, Shabbir and his accomplices intercepted them. They opened fire on them as a result of which Zulfiqar died on the spot while Sharif sustained serious injuries. He was rushed to the DHQ Hospital where he succumbed to his wounds.

Police claimed that the accused had murdered one of the uncles of Sharif some time ago.

Meanwhile, the Employees Association of the DCO office, had condemned the murder of their colleague. They demanded arrest of the killers. — Correspondent
