PTCL centre without facilities

Published May 30, 2002

NAWABSHAH, May 29: The people of the city were facing many problems due to non-availability of high-tech telecom facility at the PTCL customer service centre.

The building was centrally air-conditioned with all the modem equipment required for telecommunication. In June 2001, the centre was provided with a computer, an air-conditioner, a telex machine and other equipments, after several complaints of the citizens.

Presently there is no computer at the centre for issuing duplicate bills.

The centre also has no water cooler and proper toilets for customers.

It was also learnt that the cabins made for customers for private conversation were also of no use as they were not connected through a computerized system.

Many complaints have been made by the customers but in vain.

The citizens of Nawabshah have demanded of PTCL chairman to look into the matter and get it solved on priority basis.

The subscribers are also facing a lot of difficulties due to non-computerization of 17 enquiry.
