KARACHI: Seminar on Thal canal

By Our Staff Reporter

KARACHI, May 28: A seminar on “Greater Thal Canal”, to be held jointly by the Muttahida Qaumi Movement and Jiay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz on May 29, has been postponed.

A Muttahida press release said the seminar had been postponed due to some unavoidable reasons and a fresh date would be announced soon.

Meanwhile, deputy conveners of Muttahida — Aftab Shaikh, Shaikh Liaquat Hussain, Nasreen Jalil, Dr Farooq Sattar and Shoaib Bukhari — have reached London in connection with important meetings of the coordination committee of the party.

The committee, with its convener Dr Imran Farooq in the chair, is considering different issues, including general elections and law and order situation.

A sub-committee has also been constituted, with Aftab Shaikh as its head, to finalize the manifesto of the Muttahida.
